The American Standard R110SS is a rough in valve so it will work with any trim kit and it does mix the hot and cold water.
Does this work with Serin Trim kit and control temperature as well as divert from the shower head and tub spout?

The difference between the R110SS and the R110 is the SS model comes with screw driver stops on the unit to shut off water supply at the source. The difference between the R115 and the R110 models is the R115 has female threaded connections and the R110's have cover sweat connections that you solder pipe directly in.
