Price
Price
Bathtub pricing is widely varied. Soaking tubs start around $400, while Combination Air / Whirlpool tubs can top $7000. When budgeting for tubs, we encourage you to take some time to consider the fact that although you may not use your current tub very often, once replaced, new tubs often times become the bathroom center piece. One of the more common bathroom remodel regrets we hear: "I wish I had gotten a better tub." Don't make the same mistake - An extra $500-$1000 may sound like a lot, but can be the tipping point between good and excellent.

Drain Placement
Drain Placement
Note: The following information applies to Drop-In whirlpool tubs only. If you are ordering an Alcove tub, you do not need to worry about drain or pump placement, just be sure to order the correct drain placement (right or left) using the tub skirt as the tub's front. Drop-In tubs, however, do not have a tub skirt, making clarification of the tub front necessary. People commonly think that because Drop-Ins do not have a skirt, that they are reversible, however this is only true for Soaking and Air tubs where an access panel is not necessary. But for Whirlpool tubs, you will need to match the pump location to your access panel. This is achieved by designating the tub drain as the tub front. Notice how this affects the pump locations in the examples below and be sure to order accordingly.
