  • Is this the assembly for 1 door? In other words there is a door knob for each side of the door and inner latch assembly.

    A. The Weslock 3710I is a Privacy Door Knob Set. This includes two rosettes, two knobs, the latch and faceplate. Please be sure to select your latch type before proceeding to check-out.

  • What is the measurement of the rosette?

    A. The rosette on Weslock 3710I measures 5" H x 2-1/2" W

  • What does the button lock look like? What does the outside emergency unlock look like?

    A. The Weslock 3710I Privacy Door Knob Set has a push button lock on the inside next to the handle on the rosette. The outside emergency unlock is a small hole on the exterior rosette next to the handle opposite the inside push button lock. A small key is provided with the set to unlock or you may use a small screwdriver as well.

  • The push button is below the knob and you gently push it in from the interior -- is there a way to open this door from the exterior -- please explain - thanks.

    A. At the same place as the push button, on the exterior, there is a small pin hole. Like most privacy handles, if you poke a pin/toothpic/bobbypin or other long thin device into it, it will unlock.

  • How does the emergency release key work on the privacy door?

    A. There is a pin hole on the knob on the outside of the door. You will insert the privacy key into the knob and it will push down on a latch that will release the knob allowing the door to be opened. The privacy key is not like a normal key, it is more like a thin rod that will fit in the hole on the knob.

  • How does the door unlock? Do you just turn the knob or have to pull on the awardly placed push button?

    A. To unlock it you just turn the knob. To lock it, you have to push the pin button in.

  • Is the latch removable on this design? If I order them with a latch but have to install as a drive in, is this possible?

    A. The Weslock 3710I can be ordered with the drive in or the round/square corner latch. If you get the round and square corner the latch cannot be installed without the plate. For a drive in installation, you will need to make sure you get the drive in latch.

  • Is this knob make of a heavy solid metal, or is it hollow and light in weight?

    A. The Weslock 3710I is hollow but heavy. It weighs 3 lbs.

    A. The Weslock 3700P drive in latch will feature a strike plate.

  • my interior door is 2 3/4 inches will this lockset work ?

    A. If you are talking about the backset then yes this will work. The thickest door this can work on though is 1-3/4"

Very pleased The knobset is of excellent quality and has a fine finish. It looks great in a craftsman style home. Oil rubbed bronze looks particularly good on lighter color wood doors. Caution must be used during installation to avoid scratching colored mounting screws. March 1, 2011

A Quality Product Quality finish and hardware that was made to last. No plastic anywhere. The order was processed and shipped quickly. The price was very reasonable. If there is a con, the "pin" for setting the lock from inside is behind the knob and a bit awkward to access. Not horrible, just a slight nuisance. September 28, 2009

Warranties cover the original residential user of Weslock® Products against defects in material and workmanship as long as the original user occupies the residential premises upon which the product was originally installed. This warranty DOES NOT COVER abused or misused products or if a Weslock® Product is used in commercial applications. Upon return of a defective Product to Weslock®, Weslock® shall either repair or replace the Product. Or upon written approval from Weslock® we may refund up to 50% of the purchase price of the product when the defective product and the original cash receipt of the Weslock® product is sent to Weslock®. Weslock® is not responsible for the cost to install the product or any defects caused by incorrect installation.

Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for warranty work or refund.

A finish deterioration occurring from the use or paints, solvents, or other chemicals is not a defect in the finish and is not covered by this warranty. Weslock® is not liable for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitations of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific c legal rights and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
