Weslock Privacy Door Knob

This gorgeous Weslock doorknob push locks from the inside. The knob simply unlocks with a twist and a turn from the interior side, making it easy to exit and panic proof. The Weslock 1710J is a part of Weslock’s Julienne Collection. Providing an elegant addition to any room, this knob would pair well with many styles including traditional or Victorian. It is available in a variety of finishes, including the popular Oil Rubbed Bronze and Satin Nickel.

    A. There should be a small hole on the exterior knob of the Weslock 1710J. The emergency tool will be inserted and you will encounter some resistance. Press against it and the privacy lock should pop open.

  • What are the dimensions of the rosette?

    A. The Weslock 1710J rosette is 5" in height and 2-1/2" in width. The knob diameter is 2-1/2" and the knob projection from the door is 2-1/2".

  • Does this have a hole to insert the emergency tool?

    A. The Weslock 1710J does have a small access hole for an emergency tool on it's rosette (back plate).

  • I noticed on the Weslock Julienne collection that there are two visible screw heads on the faceplate that match the finish. Do all the the handle sets in the Julienne collection show these screws?

    A. The Weslock 1710J, as well as the rest of the 1700 series, have visible screws. The 600 Julienne series screws are concealed.

Great Looking I placed these on the exterior doors of my new home. They are beautiful and easy to install, my only regret is I did not put them on the interior doors. Very well made. August 28, 2009
Classy and well made I replaced all of my interior doors with 6 panel doors and replaced all of my hardware with oiled bronze hinges and knobs. I am sure it increased the value of my home far beyond the cost of materials. A great update to enjoy and increase the value when I sell in years to come. Knobs are very well made. February 26, 2009
Great Look & Quality I'm extremely happy with the quality and style of these door handles. I purchased the Satin Nickel finish for my 31 year old home that had all brass, but mismatched and dinged-up door knobs - they'd been replaced only as needed over the years by previous owners without much thought on quality or consistency in appearance. I was pleasantly surprised at how much they even dressed up the existing 31 year-old doors; which I’ll eventually replace, but I couldn't wait to install these knobs! The installation was a bit tricky on the first knob, but the remaining knobs were a breeze once I got over the initial learning curve. I replaced 5 knobs in about 1-1/2 hours by myself; I imagine that time would probably be cut in half if I’d had an extra pair of hands. February 21, 2009

Beautifully Unique I was looking for something different. I found it in this product. I love the look of these knobs. They have been added to a higher end home. The buyers in our community all want this style now. I purchased it in the oil rubbed bronze. I came back today to purchase for our buyers in satin nickel. Everyone compliments these. Warranties cover the original residential user of Weslock® Products against defects in material and workmanship as long as the original user occupies the residential premises upon which the product was originally installed. This warranty DOES NOT COVER abused or misused products or if a Weslock® Product is used in commercial applications. Upon return of a defective Product to Weslock®, Weslock® shall either repair or replace the Product. Or upon written approval from Weslock® we may refund up to 50% of the purchase price of the product when the defective product and the original cash receipt of the Weslock® product is sent to Weslock®. Weslock® is not responsible for the cost to install the product or any defects caused by incorrect installation.

Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for warranty work or refund.

A finish deterioration occurring from the use or paints, solvents, or other chemicals is not a defect in the finish and is not covered by this warranty. Weslock® is not liable for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitations of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific c legal rights and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
