Weslock 1444 Lexington 1400 Series Interconnected Handleset (INTERIOR PACK SOLD SEPARATELY)

This 1444 Interconnected Handleset by Weslock has many features. An Interconnected Handleset has a one-piece exterior handleset (handle with deadbolt). This can be locked with a key from the exterior and a thumb turn from the interior. The 1444 features a Panic-Proof function which allows the interconnected deadbolt to also be unlocked by turning the interior lever or knob (depending on which you select). This allows you to simply turn your interior piece to open your door without having to unlock the deadbolt and the knob or lever separately.

  • Can I purchase locks and have them keyed to my existing key?

    A. Handlesets.com does offer free residential keying. You can select keying options on this product page and type your keycode in the textbox. You can find your keycode either stamped on your key (5 to 6 digits) or you can take your key to a locksmith to determine your keycode. Weslock uses a C Keyway and only works with 5 Pin Keycodes (so 5 digits in the keycode). This is industry standard, just double check that this is compatible before ordering.

  • What is the difference between the Center to Center measurement and the Cross Bore Measurement?

    A. The Cross Bore is the diameter of the two holes. For the Weslock 1444, both holes need to be drilled with 2-1/8" Diameters. The Center to Center measurement (sometimes called "Centers") is the distance from the center of the top hole to the center of the bottom hole. The Center to Center needs to be 2-7/8" for this Weslock 1444.

  • Does Weslock 1444 have a dummy handleset to go with it?

    A. The dummy handleset version of the Weslock 1444 is Weslock 1445.

  • Does this have a locking mechanism on the handle that would be inside the house?

    A. The Weslock 1444 has two thumb turns that lock the handleset. There is a thumb turn for the upper deadbolt and there is a thumb-turn on the lever or knob as well.

  • Could you please tell me the exterior deminsions of both the exterior and the interior handle? I am replacing an existing handle and I have a oval shaped hole that is 5 inches tall X 2.5 inches wide and I need to cover the hole. I could easily get by with a dummy version as I have a deadbolt also.

    A. The Weslock 1444 is 6" x 2 3/4" interior, and 14 1/4" x 2 5/8" exterior.

  • I plan to order this but need a kick plate that matches this color. Any suggestions? There are serveral oil rubbed bronze options but all have a slight color variation.

    A. Unfortunately Weslock 1444 does not make a kickplate. That would be the only way to get an exact match. In my opinion it looks like the Baldwin 2000.0630 brown is dark enough to be close to the Weslock Oil Rubbed Bronze.

  • Can I get this handleset with the Bordeaux lever (right hinge door)?

    A. Yes, when you add this to your cart you are propted to choose an inside lever and the bordeau is the 1400U either right handed or left handed.

Solid all in one front door lock We had to replace a old Westlock door handle set that was this same style, ie. had only one square opening with deadbolt and handle lock all in one. Warranties cover the original residential user of Weslock® Products against defects in material and workmanship as long as the original user occupies the residential premises upon which the product was originally installed. This warranty DOES NOT COVER abused or misused products or if a Weslock® Product is used in commercial applications. Upon return of a defective Product to Weslock®, Weslock® shall either repair or replace the Product. Or upon written approval from Weslock® we may refund up to 50% of the purchase price of the product when the defective product and the original cash receipt of the Weslock® product is sent to Weslock®. Weslock® is not responsible for the cost to install the product or any defects caused by incorrect installation.

Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for warranty work or refund.

A finish deterioration occurring from the use or paints, solvents, or other chemicals is not a defect in the finish and is not covered by this warranty. Weslock® is not liable for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitations of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply to you.
