Hi. I have never heard of this brand "Vigo". Please tell me more about the company and faucets in terms of quality.

Can you tell me how much space do I need between the faucet and back splash, so the handle won't touch it while pulled all the way back? Also how does the spout retrect back, is there any locking device, magnet or nothing?

A. The Vigo VG02017 is requiring 2.5" to operate to full capacity. I am not sure if it is a pressure fitted retractor that locks in to place or if it is magnetized. Sorry.

does it matter which side the handle is one is on? It shows above on the RIGHT side however, I have a large sink with the the one hole on the left side and the faucet would need to be installed on the angle of the upper left corner. With this said I am concerned with it being too close to the back splash and would like the handle to be turned around and be on the LEFT.

A. The Vigo VG02017 can be installed on either side of the sink & the handle may be placed wherever you wish since the spout itself swivels a full 360 degrees. Hope this helps!

Can the handle/lever be installed to function on the LEFT side as well as the RIGHT (as shown)?

A. The Vigo VG02017 is not held in place with a magnet.

Do you have to hold the button down to maintain the spray mode?

A. The Vigo VG02017 only operates in spray mode while the button is held down.
