Pressure Balancing Electric Tankless Water Heater for 3 Bath Home

Features

  • Unlimited Supply of Hot Water: Keeps heating water instantly as you require. The Tempra(tm) system completely replaces a conventional tank heater with no disruption to your comfort and hot water needs.
  • Saves Energy and Reduces Your Electric Bill: Electric tank type water heaters are subject to stand-by losses which amount to 15 - 20% of the kWH used. Changing to a tankless system results in savings of 15 - 20%.
  • Control Temperature Simply by Setting a Dial: Set the knob on the front cover and enjoy water temperatures between 86 degreeF (30 degreeC) and 125 degreeF (52 degreeC). Change the desired temperature at anytime. Advanced microprocessor technology ensures that the water temperature never deviates from the set point.
  • Sleek Design Saves Space: The Tempra(tm) takes up considerably less space than conventional tank type water tanks and saves valuable living space.
  • Proven Reliability: Stiebel Eltron has an enviable track record of engineering excellence and product quality. The three years parts warranty is unique in the industry. You can depend on the Tempra(tm) for many years to come.
  • Flow Control Throttle: Keeps a constant temperature no matter the load strains.
  • Tempra 29 vs. Tempra 29 Plus: The Tempra 29 Plus (this model) expands on the Tempra 29 (Discontinued) by adding a pressure balancing feature to the unit. Should a unit be hooked up to more than one application, for example, a shower and a kitchen faucet, the demand for hot water may occasionally exceed the capabilities of the tankless water heater. Should this occur when using the older Tempra 29, the water temperature would drop. Since updated, when using the Tempra 29 Plus, the unit will properly lower the cold water pressure to compensate for the demand, resulting in a total drop in water pressure at the shower and kitchen sink faucet, but temperature remains constant.

Tankless Electric Hot Water FaucetDirect.com was great. As our hot water tank had failed, we were in need for fast service - and we got it! The unit is functioning perfectly so far (we are only weeks into use. Installation was very straight forward. May use up to 120 Watts on 3-50 Amp 220 breakers, however our water flow and temperature are not requiring that much power right now. No cost when hot water isn't on, and no limit to how many showers or loads of laundry. Highly recommend the Stiebel unit. January 16, 2011
The unit replaced an 80 gal hot water tank in a two bathroom condo. Installation was easy with the plumber coming in first to remove the old tank and install the new unit, and then the electrician came in to run power. The plumber's work took about 1-1/2 hours and the electrician about 1 hour - note water supply and electrical panel were both adjacent to the location of the new unit; electrical panel had sufficient open slots; and electrical supply to the condo was 200 amps). Now, both showers can be running wide open, the wash machine and the dishwasher, and this unit still provides an abundance of hot water, so much so we had to turn it down to a lower setting (probably could have gone w/the next smaller unit down). We have notice while the system is on and the HVAC is running, a little wavering of the fluorescent lights, but no brown outs and no tripped breakers. We’ve only had it a month and waiting to see savings on the power bill. December 20, 2010
great product this is a real saver i get on demand hot water for the master bath without the worry of a flood from a tank heater in the house. i will never go back to a tank style water heater. the installed cost is a bit more but when you place a value on piece of mind it is well worth the additional cost September 25, 2010
