  • I'm trying to figure out if this dummy set F92-ADD is the companion to the F58-ADD

  • I selected the Schlage F92-ADD handelset, and your website steered me toward selecting the Schlage F94-FLA dummy interior pack for F-Series for the companion interior knob. This set costs $26.98. What is the difference between this interior dummy handle and the Schlage item F170-FLA for $9.86?

    A. The F170-FLA is just a dummy lever and acts as a pull. The f94-FLA is the interior pack which gives you the interior side of the deadbolt, the internal locking components and the interior lever.

  • I have double front doors and want to use the Schlage Addison handle set for my front doors. One door is actually a locking set and I would use F58-ADD for that door. The interior companion set I want to use is Flair, or item number F59-FLA. My question is the following: how do I determine whether I need a RH or LH Flair handle? I know the door with the working lock is a RH in-swing door. Do I go with a RH-designated F59 item because I have a RH in-swing door? Or does the LH/RH designation for the handle indicate which hand I use to actully turn the lever (in which case I'd need F59-FLA-LH)?

    A. Thank you for your question. The interior pack of the handleset is determined by the handleset itself. When outside the door, looking at it, if the hinges are on the right side, you will need a right handed lever. So, the proper interior pack for a right handed handleset would be the RH, for right handed.

  • I purchased the F60 Schlage Addison for one of my new front doors. What is the dummy counterpart to this for my other stationery door?

Finish Care and Cleaning of External Trim

Finishes: 505 (PVD Bright Brass), 605 (Bright Brass), 609 (Antique Brass), 619 (Satin Nickel), 620 (Antique Pewter), 621 (Distressed Nickel), 622 (Matte Black), 716 (Aged Bronze)
Care Guidelines: Lacquered or clear-coated finishes should be wiped with a soft, damp cloth. A mile soap may be lightly used if very dirty. Particular care should be taken to avoid paint smears, thinners and strong cleaning agents as they will quickly destroy the protective coatings and subject the finished to rapid oxidation and discoloration. Initial care for finishes requires only periodic cleaning with mild non-abrasive soap and light buffing with a soft cloth.

Finish: 613 (Oil Rubbed Bronze)
Care Guidelines: Wipe with a little vegetable oil on a soft cloth. Too much oil may leave a residue to come off on the hands. Household detergents and mild abrasive powder may be used to restore the high metal color without seriously affecting the original compound of the metal. Then rub with a paste wax.

Finishes: 625 (Bright Chrome), 626 (Satin Chrome)
Care Guidelines: Wipe with a soft damp cloth. A high grade chrome polish may be used according to directions to clean and restore the original shine or satin finish.
