Product Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like the look and operation of the f51-GEO by Schlage Bought this unit and the matching Dead Bolt for my new Door that exits to the outside from my garage. Works and Looks great with the white door. I there is no way to accidently lock yourself out with this improved Panic Proof Door Design. I do find myself having to double check that it is locked after exiting as I tend to turn the inside knob after I have locked it, thus unlocking it. But it is also backed up with a dead bolt.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great handle, lock action not clear This handle has a bit of a strange lock. I assumed that you could always exit from inside without unlocking. While essentially true, for me the act of turning the handle unlocks the door. This means I cannot lock myself out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bath door knob We bought these for our bathroom doors, so we don't have to worry about our kids locking themselves in. The panic feature means they can always open the door. If the door does get locked with or without a kid in there, we can open it easily. We had the locks keyed the same, so all the keys fit both bathrooms. We ordered from Handlesets.com because they offered this knob in the chrome finish we wanted. The order was processed quickly - it shipped the next day.

Finish Care and Cleaning of External Trim

Finishes: 505 (PVD Bright Brass), 605 (Bright Brass), 609 (Antique Brass), 619 (Satin Nickel), 620 (Antique Pewter), 621 (Distressed Nickel), 622 (Matte Black), 716 (Aged Bronze)
Care Guidelines: Lacquered or clear-coated finishes should be wiped with a soft, damp cloth. A mile soap may be lightly used if very dirty. Particular care should be taken to avoid paint smears, thinners and strong cleaning agents as they will quickly destroy the protective coatings and subject the finished to rapid oxidation and discoloration. Initial care for finishes requires only periodic cleaning with mild non-abrasive soap and light buffing with a soft cloth.

Finish: 613 (Oil Rubbed Bronze)
Care Guidelines: Wipe with a little vegetable oil on a soft cloth. Too much oil may leave a residue to come off on the hands. Household detergents and mild abrasive powder may be used to restore the high metal color without seriously affecting the original compound of the metal. Then rub with a paste wax.

Finishes: 625 (Bright Chrome), 626 (Satin Chrome)
Care Guidelines: Wipe with a soft damp cloth. A high grade chrome polish may be used according to directions to clean and restore the original shine or satin finish.
