15 Questions from the Community
-
if I order this lock, how do i get it keyed to match my other locks?
A. The Schlage BE365-CAM can be keyed to your current Schalge key. There is an option just below the product image where you will need to Select the Keyed Alike button, then in the Textbox that says Key Code (optional) you will need to enter your 5 or 6 digit keycode. When you add the item to the cart please review the keycode that you entered and make sure it is correct.
-
Can I use this on an interior door?
A. This can be used on an interior door. I would suggest double checking the specifications to make sure everything matches up. The most important Specs are Door Thickness of 1-3/8" to 1-3/4" and Adjustable Backset of 2-3/8" to 2-3/4".

What what does "key alike" and "key different" mean?
A. The Keying options are on all keyed items on this site. This item is electronic and you do not have to have a key to operate the lock, but the key is the back up for when the batteries die or if you forget your code and maybe haven't had the chance to reset it. If you are ordering more than one lock you will need to consider how you would like these items keyed. If you need 2 locks and you select keyed alike, our distributor will key both locks to the same random key. This way you will only have to have one key to operate both locks. If you select keyed different then both locks will be keyed to different keys. The textbox that has "Key Code (Optional) is for people who have a specific key already that they would like to operate the lock. Schlage keycodes are 5 or 6 digits in length and can include any digit from 0 to 9. For more complex keying instructions, we recommend you contact customer service at 888-649-0865. As a side note: Two keys are included per keycode. So, if you select keyed alike for 2 locks you will receive 2 keys. If you select keyed different for 2 locks, you will receive 4 keys.

Can the BE365-CAM be install on either a right or left hand door?
A. The Schlage BE365-CAM is reversible and can be installed on either a right or left handed door. When preparing for installation the instuctions will inform you how to switch the handing. In short, the latch can be rotated to face either direction. You will need to make sure you have the correct side of the latch facing up though. There is marking on the latch to help you know which side needs to be facing up.
-
If I already have a Schlage deadbolt installed, what else will I have to do to the door to install this electronic lock?
A. This will fit the same standard bore hole size a 2 1/8" diameter, same adjustable backset and door thickness. The old deadbolt will need to be removed starting from the screws on the interior side, then the electronic dead bolt will be able to be installed in its place. It does not have any additional installation requirements and no wiring required.

with a soft cloth.
