Can a handheld be attached to this shower head?

A. No, a handheld cannot be attached to this shower head. You will need to buy a wall supply elbow, wall bracket, and diverter trim and valve in order to add a hand held to this system. If you would like help putting it together please let me know, I would be more than happy to.

What size is the shower head, and are any finish parts plastic (i.e. shower head, lever wall plate)

A. The Pfister R89-7N1 is made of brass with some plastic and rubber inter connecting items to insure smooth function ability. The fixture does come with a lifetime warranty in either case.
