What does ceramic valve mean

A. In this case, the Pfister F-049-M0B uses a ceramic washer gasket rather than a rubber gasket. It provide a much longer lifespan for the gasket because it is far more durable.

what is the minimum inches from the center of the hole to the wall to be installed?

A. The Pfister F-049-M0B should be installed leaving 4" from the center to the back splash. The handles are 3-5/8" long.
