I just purchased the Pfister 8P8-PD. What drain assembly and valve is required?

A. The Pfister 8P8-PD uses the Pfister 0X8-310A valve. However, the drain assembly is dependent on your tub, and not the filler. You'd need to have the drain system matched to the tub measurements, and then choose the matching finish.

We just purchased the 8P8-PDKK. The valve does not have shut offs on it. Will this work with the 0X8-340A valve?

A. The Pfister 8P8-PD would work with that valve, yes.

can the scald guard/pressure balance valve feature be disabled? Or is it built into the unit? I like the looks of this, but I want to be able to have my water hot as i want it at the time

A. The pressure balance feature cannot be disabled, but the concept of the pressure scald guard is not to limit the flow of hot water, but to prevent a surge of it in case someone flushes a toilet or runs a lavatory faucet.

Can I just use the shower head without the tub spout 98P8 PDMC) as I want to use this in a shower stall (no tub)?

A. The Pfister 8P8-PD will come with all three pieces.

How wide is the wall plate?

A. The Pfister 8P8-PD has a 4 3/4" diameter escutcheon plate behind the metal lever.

Can volume be controlled or is it just off or on?

A. The Pfister 8P8-PD is going to be turn the water on and off and control the temperature only.
