goodnews, bad news The faucet itself is gorgeous - I use it maybe 2 dozen times a day - it has made my life so much easier - water right at my fingertips while I'm cooking, a burner freed up now that I don't need a teakettle on the stove, no need to run back and forth to the sink to refill the teakettle. So what's the problem? It leaks. Dribbles water all over the stove after it's turned off.. I've learned to position the faucet so it drips into something on the stove top, not onto the (gas) burners or down into the belly of the oven. Don't get me wrong, I still love it. I suspect what happened is that I researched this project thoroughly before calling my plumber. He was hesitant and said the least expensive faucet to my lenght/color specs was going to be $450+. So I asked him if I could buy it and he would install it. Yes. Well as you know I paid considerably less buying the faucet from you, and I'm fearful what I inadvertently did was deprive him of a markup. Anyway, when it was installed, and the worker could not get it to stop dripping, (it eventually does stop) he just remarked that 'you get what you pay for' - implying that I had bought some sort of inferior product. By this time I had figured out I might have paid them less than I might have, and did not want to press them for more labor to try to remedy the problem or trust their diagnosis and uninstall and return/exchange the faucet for another one, and start over with the plumber and incurring more labor charges.So while I am 95% happy with the outcome, I can't really say whether the remaining problem is with the product, or the installation, and I'm not likely to find out. second valve is needed We wanted to avoid a gangly looking pot filling by buying this one. This one looks great and we thought the expansion was cool. However, the expansion traps water and drips on the stove when retracted. Either a second valve is needed or getting the fixed version is a better bet. No airator makes this very splashy as well. missing something very important! this particular product has NO aerorater. Sprays everywhere. We have to put a funnel under it to use it. Therefore, we just end up filling our pots in the sink. This is a ridiculous piece to omit. Why? February 4, 2011

Newport Brass currently offers 33 different metal finishes on it's products. These finishes are applied by the Newport Brass plating and painting departments. Color samples are shown on this web site.

Newport Brass finishes are warrantied 10 years with these exceptions:

Lifetime Warranty Finishes:
Forever Brass (01) PVD
Polished Chrome (26)
Oil Rubbed Bronze (10B)
Stainless Steel (20) PVD
All 10 of our Powder Coated Paint finishes - White, Almond, Bone, Black, Red, Flat Black, European White, Biscuit, Simulated Wrought Iron and Hammered Antique Copper.

The following uncoated finishes carry no warranty:
Polished Brass Uncoated (03N)
Weathered Brass (03W)
Weathered Copper (08W)

Kitchen, bath, or lavatory drains of all types, due to abuse to which they may be subjected, are warrantied as follows:
Powder coated colors, Polished Chrome (26), Satin Chrome (26D), Oil Rubbed Bronze (10B), Forever Brass (01), Satin Brass (04), or Stainless Steel (20) have a one year warranty.

In all other finishes - no warranty on the finish for these products.

Ceramic disc valves (lavatory, tub/shower, and roman tub valves), have a lifetime warranty. Other valve types (balance pressure, termostatic, etc) are warrantied for one year from date of purchase on mechanical operations.

Product problems attributable to abuse, misuse, improper installation, hard water, maintainence or accidental damage are not covered by this warranty. No repairs or replacements will be made under such circumstances except at customer's expense. Liability under all warranties or implied is limited to replacement of defective goods only.
