  • How large is the back plate in diameter? Is the light only 11.5 inches tall?

    A. The Murray FeissOL5400 backplate measures 8 1/8" in height and 5 1/8" in width. The fixture itself measures 11.5" in height but there are larger versions in the collection which can be found in the Cotswold Lane Collection here

  • Is this light open at the bottom? Does light shine out of the bottom downward?

  • Can a standard 100 watt light bulb be used in frigid weather or does a special "tuff" light bulb have to be used?

    A. As far as I know you can just use a regular bulb, the only type of bulbs having trouble in cold weather are flourescents.

Excellent Product These are very simple yet quite beautiful wall lamps. Their color blends exceptionally well with my chocolate brown shutters and other accents. The bulbs emit more than enough light and it is directed downward which is better than out into space. The bulbs are easy to change. November 22, 2010
High Quality Upgrade As part of a complete house remodel, I ordered the OL 5400 outdoor light in black. (didn't want any brass because of salt/sea air and pitting problems). High quality workmanship and attention to detail, as expected and delivered from Murray Feiss. In fact, I ordered additional companion fixtures OL 5401, OL 5402, and OL 5403 as well. Now I'm just sitting back and enjoying all of the compliments! February 3, 2009
