16 Questions from the Community
Is the shower head on the Moen T2153 metal or plastic?
How do I figure out which of the four valves to order?
A. Here is how the four valves differ. 2510 is IPS (Iron Pipe Size) Threaded Connection - Without Stops. 2520 is CC (Copper to Copper) Sweated / Soldered Connection - Without Stops. 2570 is IPS (Iron Pipe Size) Threaded Connection - With Stops. 2590 is CC (Copper to Copper) Sweated / Soldered Connection - With Stops. Depending on what your plumber or your current plumbing system uses you'll pick CC or IPS. Valve stops allows you to cut water off to your shower valve for repairs.
How do you determine which valve you will need?
Are the sun & snowflake symbols on the chrome shower control? or is it the blue to red swirl?
I'm looking for a drain plug and overflow that will match
what about a drain kit to match?
Would the T2153 be compatible to the Adler L82694? We are building a house and have this presently set in the tile for hookup, but decided we wanted to go with an oil bronze look, but could not find oil bronze in the alder collection. It needs to hook up with the installed plumbing for the alder.
Will this be able to replace a push-pull on off Moen showerhead from the Monticello collection and would I need a new rough in valve?
I would like to control the flow of water, does this handle allow that?
Where is the T2153 manufactured?
I need only the 3857 tub spout and the T2151 handle lever, not the shower valve. I If I buy these two separately it costs more than if I just buy the T2153. Can I just buy the T2153 and NOT use the shower head?
Can I buy this and then replace the shower head with the Moen 6310? Do I just unscrew the shower head to replace?
I bought my bathroom fixtures and notice that the tub spout is a slip fit type. How strong is it to hold the water pressure and not slip off
A. Moen T2153 Single Handle Posi-Temp Pressure Balanced Tub and Shower Trim with Single Function Showerhead from the Brantford Collection does have a set screw on the bottom of the slip fit, which tightens it up to hold it. It is strong enough, there have been no known problems.
I need a replacement cartridge for valve, I'm not getting any hot water, just plenty of cold water?
how do you balance hot & cold at interior fitting
Is the T2153 brushed nickel Moen faucet "nickel" or stainless ? What is the recommended cleaning method ?
