  • Is this lock or is there an option to not have panic exit? I hate getting locked out of the house.

    A. The Kwikset 991LL is a combination of typical single cylinder locks. They do not have an emergency egress function and do not lock automatically. They are controlled by key on the outside and thumbturns on the inside.

  • If I buy 2 sets can i use one key to set all of the locks to the same key?

    A. The Kwikset 991LL can be keyed the same as a second set. You have to select the option to Key Alike at the time of checkout.

    A. The Kwikset Smart Key knobs and levers will only be compatible with other Smart Key knobs or levers, we can mix and match upon order with special order lead times.

Easy to install, rekey, and use Finally a manufacturer developed a door latch set that was very easy to install. There are several minor tweaks to the design that make it really easy. As for operation, it does away with gripping a knob which can be a pain when your hands are full or when grip is an issue. The rekying process was extremely easy making the number of keys on my keyring less. October 5, 2011
Good Value / Easy Install We just needed a simple replacement lock and deadbolt for one of our doors. This set looks great, is cost effective, and easy to install. September 27, 2011
Exterior door set It has only been a few weeks, however if this set holds up to coastal conditions for the next year,i. e. no rust or pot marks. I would recommend this product to anyone. September 18, 2011
