  • From inside the house, is the deadbolt a turn knob or key, and is the knob a push button, turn button, or key?

    A. The Kwikset 991J is a single cylinder deadbolt and knobset. This means that it will only be keyed on the outside. The interior will have a turn knob. If you wish to have the item keyed on the interior as well as the exterior you would be looking for a double cylinder set.

  • Kwikset offers a "Signature" line in its locksets. Is the Juno part of that and what are the advantages of a "Signature" line lockset

    A. The closest to the Juno in the signiture series would be the Hancock knob.

Worked perfectly, and looks great... When putting in dead bolt, you must extend lock to line up properly to install....It doesn,t tell you any where...but it helps....Other than that..Kwikset makes great products, and would recomend.. September 17, 2011
Performs as advertised. Locks do what they are supposed to do and were easy to install and re-key. The thumbturn mechanism is not very precise and feels a little "sloppy". But these are not expensive locks. The order fulfillment was very good. I received my shipment promptly and customized to my requirements. April 22, 2011

Warranties cover the original residential user of Kwikset Products against defects in material and workmanship as long as the original user occupies the residential premises upon which the product was originally installed. This warranty DOES NOT COVER abused or misused products or non-commercial products used in commercial applications.

If a covered defect occurs, email or call 1- 800-327-LOCK (5625) for further assistance. A finish deterioration occurring from the use of paints, solvents or other chemicals is not a defect in the finish and is not covered by this warranty.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. Mechanical and finish warranties are different for each Kwikset brand.
