  • Can I get one with a key tumbler on the inside also. It would be too easy to break the glass and reach inside and unlock.

    A. The Kwikset 907 is not available as a double cylinder which has the key hole on both sides. It is only available with the thumb turn on the inside and the key hole on the outside.

    A. The Kwikset 907 has a small light that is battery operated and turns on when a button is pressed.

Great Lock I am a builder. I have installed other brands of the keyless lock, but this one is wonderful for the price, easy installation, works great.... homeowner loves it. In fact they loved it so much, they have five on their new home. April 20, 2011
Great lock for the price. This electronic deadbolt was easy to install and had clear directions to follow. This lock looks very clean from the outside and functions well. The "bolt throw" motor is not the strongest but worked well after some adjustment to the strike plate. My only complaint was the lack of a light up key pad and a matching finish interior cover plate (its off white). These two are offered on Kwiksets other models of electronic deadbolt. A nice thing was that this includes a "smart key" cylinder so I was able to match it to my original kwikset home key. Overall I am satisfied with this product and the service I received. I would recommend this to anyone who is shopping on a budget for an electronic deadbolt. April 20, 2011
why change somthing great I recently purchased powerlock and installed it only to be confused by the directions. I have installed Weiser locks with no problem but when kwik set bought out weiser they decided to change the way the lock works. I have seven rentel properties that all use Weiser locks, that all operate with the t-lock being horizonall when locked. The new kwikset lock is just the oppisite unlock is horizonal. This to me is wrong. All door locks should be horizontal is locked . Anyone who has opperated a valve knows this makes sence. I could complain that the directions are wrong but I feel that changing the lock is the REAL answer . April 15, 2011
Great product When we bought the house 13 years ago, it came with a Kwikset electronic deadbolt - we didn't think too much about it when we bought the house. We quickly realized what a convenience it is and a time saver. When you leave, you press a button and it locks. Kids come home from school, they don't need a key to get into the house - how often has my son misplaced his key! Hands full - its much easier to find a free finger to punch a code than it is to set something down, find your keys, then the right key and unlock the door. When the Kwikset lock wore out, I waited about a month to buy a replacement which only made us appreciate the lock more - installation of the replacement was a breeze. Still not sure why I waited a month. They are great. January 27, 2011
LOVE THESE I had one of these installed on my front door. I loved the fact that I didn't have to carry a key around with me. I bought 3 more and had them installed on all my exterior doors. They made all the keys that come with the locks the same for me. I don't worry about being locked out anymore. January 2, 2011

LOVE these deadbolts We've used these key pad deadbolts for years now and love them. The first we had lasted MANY years before having to be replaced. We recently remodeled and put a second one on another exterior door because they're just so convenient. You don't have to worry about your kids losing keys to your house and being locked out or having extra keys to your home floating around for others to find. You can change the code for a day to let in a repairman or exterminator and then change it back that night. No fumbling for keys and you never have to worry about being locked out. October 19, 2009
kwikset smartcode locks I bought my parents one of these products and loved how it worked on their front door, so, I bought myself and my daughter in law and son one for our front doors. This was just last Fall. All three of the smart codes have quit working, totally! My daughter in laws and sons quit working about March, mine quit working in May and my parents informed this morning that their's is not working now. What is up?? I think the idea of this product is good but there are obviously, bugs that need to be worked out! May 9, 2009

Warranties cover the original residential user of Kwikset Products against defects in material and workmanship as long as the original user occupies the residential premises upon which the product was originally installed. This warranty DOES NOT COVER abused or misused products or non-commercial products used in commercial applications.

If a covered defect occurs, email or call 1- 800-327-LOCK (5625) for further assistance. A finish deterioration occurring from the use of paints, solvents or other chemicals is not a defect in the finish and is not covered by this warranty.

Kwikset is not liable for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. Mechanical and finish warranties are different for each Kwikset brand. One or more brands may be installed in your home (for instance, Kwikset UltraMax Signatures™ on the front door and Kwikset Maximum Security® on interior doors).
