  • Could you tell me the size of the faceplate part? I am replacing an old door set and want the new one to cover up where the old one was.

    A. The measurements for the Kwikset 800AN-LIP-S Single Cylinder Sectional Handle faceplate is 1" x 2-1/4".

  • Is there a thru-bolt on the bottom to secure the assembly to the door? Is it covered?

    A. The Kwikset 800AN-LIP-S does come with a screw that goes through the door, at the very bottom of the assembly. There is also a small decorative cover plate on the inside of the door to hide the screw.

Gorgeous entry set Did the entire house in Venetian Bronze from Lido series. This front door set is so classy! We selected it because of the shape on the handle and the deadbolt (greecian looking) matched the shape of the pool. It looks famtastic! Inside we used the Lido handle. July 30, 2011
Installation The lower pin on the main handle did not fit the hole it was supposed to go in. The hole had to be drilled out to accept the pin. The washer that goes with this pin and supposedly accepts the decorative cover for the interiior head of the lower bolt was missing. May 30, 2011
Your average handleset This design was the closest match to my existing handleset, which was in need of replacement. I took a gamble on the Antique Nickel color sight unseen, and am thrilled that I did. The finish is beautiful. I give this 4 stars instead of 5 because the deadbolt is a bit tricky to install -- I should've read the instructions first, but even after doing so, still had a tricky time getting everything lined up just right. Replacement Previous QuikSet hardware had weathered to the point that I had to replace. Interior hardware was in good condition but the exterior set was really bad. I looked at competing brands in the local big box stores and decided to replace with another QuikSet out of concern that the previously drilled/bored holes in the door wouldn't align. I visited QuikSet's website to help decide on the exact product, but I couldn't find it in the local big box stores. I guess QuikSet corporate thinks it knows best what combination of hardware it put in the stores. Persistence paid off when I eventually found HandleSets.com. I was amazed at the variety and the choices. This was a no-brainer. HandleSets.com is a winner. I'm very happy with the new hardware and hope the lifetime tarnish-free finish lasts a long time. If a covered defect occurs, email or call 1- 800-327-LOCK (5625) for further assistance. A finish deterioration occurring from the use of paints, solvents or other chemicals is not a defect in the finish and is not covered by this warranty.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. Mechanical and finish warranties are different for each Kwikset brand. One or more brands may be installed in your home (for instance, Kwikset UltraMax Signatures™ on the front door and Kwikset Maximum Security® on interior doors).
