  • What's difference between right hand and left hand? Does handle position left hand mean the left hand would open it?

    A. Thank you for your question. Handing is determined by standing outside the intended door and checking what side the hinges are on. It determines which side the latch goes when the handleset is installed.

  • Does this dummy handle mount by a screw(s) entering from the opposite side of the door or does is have a same side mounting plate with the trim ring snapped on as the keyed handles?

    A. Yes there is a trim ring that conceals the screws that are on the same side as the handle.

  • Have a pantry door that requires a door knob on only the outside to open the door, it doesn't need a knob on the inside as the shelves come almost to the inside of the back of the door. Is this the kind of knob I would use?

    A. The Kwikset 788TNL-LH is a single dummy, which means it's only on one side of the door, it does not function, and is used only as a grip to open a closet or pantry door.

    A. The Kwikset 788TNL-LH is sold a single lever so yes 2 of each for double doors.

Tustin dummy levers Bought 8 of these for double French doors and am very happy with the function and the appearance. We chose the polished brass and it looks very warm and welcoming. The Tustin lever is very well designed for the hand grasp. My husband easily installed them. August 25, 2011
