Tustin Keyed Entry Door Leverset with Smart Key by Kwikset

Tustin’s fashionable wave silhouette design is the perfect complement to homes with inspired style. This is a Single Cylinder Keyed Entry door lever set which means the lever can be locked and unlocked from the exterior using a key and from the interior using the turn button located on the interior lever.

  • Key it Yourself: Lock is rekeyable by using the included learn tool in less than 30 seconds without removing the lock from the door.
  • SmartKey cylinders also feature a stainless steel side locking bar, racks and pins for increased strength and security.
  • Features a fully adjustable latch to fit all standard door preparations (2-3/8" to 2-3/4" backsets)
  • ANSI/BHMA Grade 2 Security
  • Fully reversible Lever – Fits both right handed and left handed doors
  • Includes Standard Round Corner Strike Plate Part Number 83796 (Strike Plate is on Door Jamb). For Square Corner Strike Plate See Product: Kwikset 83437. For a T-Strike Plate See: Kwikset 83028.

    A. The Kwikset 740TNL-S is held on by set screws (Part No. 83255 and 81251 and installation wrench).

    A. The Kwikset 740TNL-S latch will have to be flipped around and lever turned around.

    A. The Kwikset 740TNL-S is a single cylinder lock meaning it is keyed on the outside only. The inside will feature the same lever with a turn.

Part of a good series of handles This is one of many in the Tustin series. I bought the polished chrome version. I replaced all handles in the house (15 total). Some passage, some privacy and so on. Those are either 4 or 5 stars. The reason I give this 3 stars only, and perhaps slightly harsh, is that you cannot lock with the key. You can unlock, just not lock. The ability to reverse is quite cool and clever. The line is well made and very easy to install. I was replacing Weslock handles and the door strikes are slightly off. So perhaps some work will be needed there. Again, a good product and good experience with the company. Other models I bought: 720/730/740/788TNL December 12, 2010

Warranties cover the original residential user of Kwikset Products against defects in material and workmanship as long as the original user occupies the residential premises upon which the product was originally installed.
