Avalon Keyed Entry Door Lever Set with SmartKey by Kwikset

The Avalon has a slight touch of the coast, aesthetically coexisting with any color scheme or decor. This keyed entry lever, locking/unlocking both knobs on the inside with a turn button inside and a key on the outside, is equipped with the new SmartKey technology.

  • Key it Yourself: Lock is rekeyable by using the included learn tool in less than 30 seconds without removing the lock from the door.
  • SmartKey cylinders also feature a stainless steel side locking bar, racks and pins for increased strength and security.
  • Features a fully adjustable latch to fit all standard door preparations
  • ANSI/BHMA Grade 2 Security
  • Fully reversible Lever – Fits both right handed and left handed doors
  • Lifetime mechanical and finish warranty
  • Includes Standard Round Corner Strike Plate Part Number 83796 (Strike Plate is on Door Jamb). For Square Corner Strike Plate See Product: Kwikset 83437. For a T-Strike Plate See: Kwikset 83028.
  • Bump guard: Patented side locking bar technology replaces a traditions pin & tumbler design to protect against lock bumping.
  • Drill Resistance: Cylinder uses two steel balls inserted into the front of the key face to resist attack from drilling.
  • Smart Key Cylinders are 5-pin, and will not key alike to 6-pin cylinders.

    A. The interior handle and spring cannot be purchased separately for this unit.

  • Does this handle have an inside push button or a turn knob. The picture looks like a push button and that is what I want. The write-up states a turn button.

Quality leverset, easily installed. Did plenty of research prior to ordering and was not disappointed. Installed in about 15 minutes. Great "lifetime" brass finish and good, solid feel to its operation. Also bought a corresponding knobset with double-cylinder deadbolt for the front. Love having everything on one key, and the security and flexibility of the Smart Key system. And with the lock bumping resistant design, they give me a better sense of security. September 20, 2011
Great Product Very high quality. Initially requested that all locks be keyed alike, but the locks we received were not.... called customer service and the problem was rectified right away without a hassle!!! They were even available to answer installation questions. October 19, 2010

Warranties cover the original residential user of Kwikset Products against defects in material and workmanship as long as the original user occupies the residential premises upon which the product was originally installed. This warranty DOES NOT COVER abused or misused products or non-commercial products used in commercial applications.

If a covered defect occurs, email or call 1- 800-327-LOCK (5625) for further assistance. A finish deterioration occurring from the use of paints, solvents or other chemicals is not a defect in the finish and is not covered by this warranty.
