Ashfield Keyed Entry Single Cylinder Door Leverset with SmartKey by Kwikset

Fashionable and flexible, this seemingly eclectic style brings together time-honored country traditions. This single cylinder knob, equipped with SmartKey technology, locks/unlocks with a key from the outside and a turn button on the inside.

  • Key it Yourself: Lock is rekeyable by using the included learn tool in less than 30 seconds without removing the lock from the door.
  • SmartKey cylinders also feature a stainless steel side locking bar, racks and pins for increased strength and security.
  • Includes Standard Round Corner Strike Plate Part Number 83796 (Strike Plate is on Door Jamb). For Square Corner Strike Plate See Product: Kwikset 83437. For a T-Strike Plate See: Kwikset 83028.
  • Bump guard: Patented side locking bar technology replaces a traditions pin & tumbler design to protect against lock bumping.
  • Drill Resistance: Cylinder uses two steel balls inserted into the front of the key face to resist attack from drilling.
  • ANSI/BHMA Grade 2 Security
  • SmartKey Cylinders are 5-pin, and will not key alike to 6-pin cylinders.

  • If I wanted to add a deadbolt to this which one would I use and if ordered at the same time would they be keyed the same?

    A. The Kwikset 740ADL-S matches the 980S perfectly. We are happy to key locks alike at time of purchase. Simply press the "key alike" radio button when adding the item to your cart.

Nice product and fast delivery I purchased two keyed Kwikset door handles. The sales people at HandleSets were very good to work with. Warranty Info

Warranties cover the original residential user of Kwikset Products against defects in material and workmanship as long as the original user occupies the residential premises upon which the product was originally installed. This warranty DOES NOT COVER abused or misused products or non-commercial products used in commercial applications.

If a covered defect occurs, email or call 1- 800-327-LOCK (5625) for further assistance. A finish deterioration occurring from the use of paints, solvents or other chemicals is not a defect in the finish and is not covered by this warranty.

Kwikset is not liable for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. Mechanical and finish warranties are different for each Kwikset brand.
