    A. The handing of a handleset depends on the hinges of the door itself. If you are standing at the exterior of the door, facing it, whichever side the hinges are on are what "handing" the door has.

  • What type of key or tool do I use to unlock from the outside?

    A. Thank you for your question. The Kwikset 730BRL is a privacy lock with an interior turn button and, usually, can be unlocked from the outside with just a small flathead screwdriver or similar shaped tool.

Warranties cover the original residential user of Kwikset Products against defects in material and workmanship as long as the original user occupies the residential premises upon which the product was originally installed. If a covered defect occurs, email or call 1- 800-327-LOCK (5625) for further assistance. A finish deterioration occurring from the use of paints, solvents or other chemicals is not a defect in the finish and is not covered by this warranty.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply to you.
