  • I have 3 questions. 1) Are the installation secrews on the interior units covered with one of the plates, or are the screws exposed or covered with a face plate? 2) Is there a front door matching lock set and handle? 3) Is there any Pembroke hardware available?

    A. 1) The handleset uses color-matched screws that are exposed. 2) Yes, Kwikset's 740PML-S is the matching entry set. 3) Yes, Pembroke hardware is avaliable.

solid door handles I purchased these for the 1st floor of my home a few years ago and just recently purchased them to replace hardware on the remainder of my doors. While I really like the quality of the handles - the second batch is slightly different finish than the first . They were shinier than the first. Not a huge deal but I liked the original finish better. This is an issue with kwikset - not Handlesets as they offered to return them no questions asked. But I like the quality - solid and attractive so I kept them October 30, 2009

Great Improvement We updated all our hardware throughout the home to this lever and love the new look. The handleset gives a new and modern feel to the home and I love the slightly thicker handle which makes it easier to grasp. The lever looks and feels very substantial, moreso than others and is in-keeping with the size and scale of our extra-tall 8 foot doors. This lever was very easy to install and I would definatley recommend this product again. March 13, 2009

Warranties cover the original residential user of Kwikset Products against defects in material and workmanship as long as the original user occupies the residential premises upon which the product was originally installed. This warranty DOES NOT COVER abused or misused products or non-commercial products used in commercial applications.

If a covered defect occurs, email or call 1- 800-327-LOCK (5625) for further assistance. A finish deterioration occurring from the use of paints, solvents or other chemicals is not a defect in the finish and is not covered by this warranty.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply to you.
