Dakota Double Cylinder Handleset with SmartKey by Kwikset

The clean lines of the Dakota Handleset lend a casual ambiance to your entry door - security with a flair. This Handleset includes a Double cylinder SmartKey deadbolt that locks/unlocks with a key from the outside and a key from the inside. The latch bolt is operated by a thumb piece outside and the grip inside.

  • Key it Yourself: Lock is rekeyable by using the included learn tool in less than 30 seconds without removing the lock from the door.
  • SmartKey cylinders also feature a stainless steel side locking bar, racks and pins for increased strength and security.
  • A Double Cylinder Handleset requires a key to lock and unlock from the exterior and on the interior. INTERIOR PACK SOLD SEPARATELY (interior pack includes the interior knob. Lever and the interior side of deadbolt)

  • Do I need to order a interior handle with this set? I've noticed several others require you to order one, but am not sure on this one.

    A. Yes, the Kwikset 689DA-LIP-S does require Kwikset 605P-S interior pack. Select your finish, door thickness, keying and Latch type above then add this exterior handle to your cart. At that time you will then be prompted with all compatible interior packs. These are sold separately in order to allow customers more options for their interior knob/lever.

  • Does this lock come with both sides of the deadbolt? Or does the interior pack contain that?

    A. Thank you for your question. The Kwikset 689DA-LIP-S is just the exterior portion of the lock and in order to have a functioning set you need to select an interior pack.

Warranties cover the original residential user of Kwikset Products against defects in material and workmanship as long as the original user occupies the residential premises upon which the product was originally installed. This warranty DOES NOT COVER abused or misused products or non-commercial products used in commercial applications.

If a covered defect occurs, email or call 1- 800-327-LOCK (5625) for further assistance. A finish deterioration occurring from the use of paints, solvents or other chemicals is not a defect in the finish and is not covered by this warranty.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. Mechanical and finish warranties are different for each Kwikset brand.
