A clean, streamlined design, Delta fits a whole range of decorating styles beautifully, from traditional and ranch to contemporary. Designed for your entryway, this knob is easy to install and locks/unlocks both sides with a key on the outside or the turn button on the inside.

  • Interior Rosette has EXPOSED SCREWS and are not concealed on the interior side.
  • Includes Standard Round Corner Strike Plate Part Number 83796 (Strike Plate is on Door Jamb). For Square Corner Strike Plate See Product: Kwikset 83437. For a T-Strike Plate See: Kwikset 83028.
  • There is an optional kit available for 2-1/4" thick doors, see product ID 81706.
  • Not a Panic-Proof set

    A. The Kwikset 405DL is a part of the Delta line by Kwikset. Unfortunately, the Delta line doesn't contain a deadbolt. Here is a link to all the deadbolts they make so we can see if something is close;

    A. There should be no additional drilling when switching from a Kwikset 300DL to a 405DL. Both units connect through the crossbore in the door.

  • Does this come with keys? Can a locksmith change the key to match exisiting locks?

    A. The Kwikset 405DL does come with keys and a locksmith can match your key code to existing locks you have.

Excellent product I was concerned given the price that this would be lightweight and look cheap - I was completely wrong. The lever handleset was solid and looks wonderful. Sturdy quality My house was built in 1997 and they don't sell these at the local hardware stores anymore. This turned out to be excellent quality and very smooth operation. They took me 5 minutes to install and they look beautiful. Quick tip: Make sure you don't screw in the 2 screws that hold the knob together too far in, or you'll push past the opening. May 21, 2008
