  • Do you have the Kwikset with smart key door knob and dead bolt sets

    A. This is a Kwikset Single Cylinder Knobset. It does not come with the deadbolt and the knobs are not sold as a set with the deadbolt. Kwikset does offer SmartKey deadbolts. Some SmartKey deadbolts are 980S-S, 780-S, 982S-S, 660-S and the 782-S.

  • does this have a turn button lock on the inside/key on outside? the picture is confusing.

    A. Yes, this keyed entry has a key on the outside and a thumb turn on the inside?

  • can I use this on an indoor door, such as a closet? If not, what do you recommend?

    A. Thank you for your question. The Kwikset 400CV-S is a keyed entry knobset and therefore, is not recommended for installation on a closet. The model number you would need will the the Kwikset 200CV which is a passage knobset ideal for a closet install.

Warranties cover the original residential user of Kwikset Products against defects in material and workmanship as long as the original user occupies the residential premises upon which the product was originally installed. This warranty DOES NOT COVER abused or misused products or non-commercial products used in commercial applications.

If a covered defect occurs, email or call 1- 800-327-LOCK (5625) for further assistance. A finish deterioration occurring from the use of paints, solvents or other chemicals is not a defect in the finish and is not covered by this warranty.

Kwikset is not liable for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. Mechanical and finish warranties are different for each Kwikset brand.
