  • What is the diameter of the knob's back plate?

    A. The Rosette (back plate) measures 2 9/16" in diameter.

  • Is the latch type square corner or round corner?

    A. This item (and most other Kwikset locks) comes with a universal latch that utilizes interchangeable faceplates. Often referred to as 6-way latches, universal latches include a drive-in latch and both square and radius faceplates that can be attached to the latch to simulate a fixed faceplate latch. The 6-way latch designation comes from the 6 different door requirement combinations that the universal latch will accommodate (i.e. 3 door configurations x two backset options each = 6 ways to utilize).

  • Are the screws concealed on this knob?

    A. The Kwikset 300CV does not have concealed screws.

  • What does privacy function mean, does this set lock some how?

    A. Yes, this item does lock. Privacy is the function used as an interior lock for bathrooms and bedrooms. You are able to lock the door from the inside. The outside does have an hole, where you can unlock the door using a privacy key that comes with the item.

  • Is this a push button or a turn button lock

    A. The Kwikset 300CV uses a thumbturn on the interior for locking.

  • What is a thumb turn lock and the picture does not show the hole for the privacy key.

    A. The Kwikset 300CV has a thumbturn style privacy lock & the privacy key hole will be in the center of the knob. The key would just be a long straight pin (I think it kind of resembles an allen wrench). hope this helps!

  • I have an old 1-1/4" bathroom door, will this work? If not, are there other options?

    A. The Emtek 820P would fit a 1-1/4" thickness.

Happy with purchase Overall, great product. We're in the process of replacing all "old" fixtures with the bronze. Very pleased with this purchase as it matches all our decor wonderfully. Warranties cover the original residential user of Kwikset Products against defects in material and workmanship as long as the original user occupies the residential premises upon which the product was originally installed. This warranty DOES NOT COVER abused or misused products or non-commercial products used in commercial applications.

If a covered defect occurs, email or call 1- 800-327-LOCK (5625) for further assistance. A finish deterioration occurring from the use of paints, solvents or other chemicals is not a defect in the finish and is not covered by this warranty.
