Does this come with the rough-in valve?
A. Kohler K-T948-4 is the trim only and does not include the valve. When the trim is added to your cart, it will take you to a page to purchase the Kohler K-305-K or Kohler K-305-KS, the two valve options available for this trim.

Will the tub spout fit a standard bathtub, or is it something special?

could you use this valve for a shower valve like a deverter whit hand sprayer?
A. The Kohler K-T948-4 is designed with an integral diverter that is meant for a tub spout only and not as a diverter for another outlet. It is not recommended to run it in another configuration. The best option would be to have a single handle pressure balanced trim and a second, transfer valve handle to switch water flow from one outlet to another.

Handle always falls off
This is a pretty shower set, but the handle always comes loose and falls off. I have to tighten it monthly. After traveling and staying at many hotels that have the same shower set I have learned that the problem is ubiquitous - I even had a handle fall off while showering at a nice hotel!

Kohler Lifetime Limited Warranty
Kohler Co. warrants its faucets to be leak and drip free during normal residential use for as long as the original purchaser owns his/her home.* If the faucet should leak or drip during normal use, Kohler will, free of charge, mail to the purchaser the cartridge necessary to put the faucet in good working condition.
Kohler also warrants all other aspects of the faucet, except gold finish, to be free of defects in material and workmanship during normal residential use for as long as the original purchaser owns his/her own home. If a defect is found in normal residential use, Kohler Co. will (at its election) repair, provide a replacement part or product, or make appropriate adjustment. Damage to a product caused by accident, misuse, or abuse is not covered by this warranty.
Proof of purchase (original sales receipt) must be provided to Kohler with all warranty claims. Kohler Co. is not responsible for labor charges, installation, or other consequential costs.
In no event shall the responsibility of Kohler exceed the purchase price of the faucet.
