will this product work on a shower valve that is twenty years old?

Will this act as a diverters for a tub faucet and a hand shower and if so what valve do I use?
A. The Kohler K-T397-4 is a pressure-balanced valve and will NOT act as a diverter. The Kohler K-T376-4 is the Diverter trim you can use for your tub and handshower. The proper valve for this trim is the K-782-K. I hope this helps!

works great!
Just had new tile installed and our tile guy cut the diverter hole too large. Rather than taking out the poorly cut tile we found this product. The back plate was larger enough to cover the oversized hole and worked with our Kohler Archer shower set. Although the handle doesn't match it blends well and solved a big problem. Also, the customer service rep at Faucet Direct was wonderful, checking measurements, etc. She really helped us
resolve our tile issue!!

Great Looking Trim Kit
I purchased this Kohler trim kit in Oil Rubbed Bronze and it looks great. It operates fine, however I did find it difficult getting the plastic plate gasket to seat correctly while mounting.
