  • which tub drain & trim kit coordinates with this set?

    A. The Kohler K-T395-4S does not have a strictly matching tub waste. Kohler produces a large number of tub wastes in the Clearflo and the Swiftflo series and they are actually more dependent on the tub you have rather than the shower trim. If you now the measurements of your current tub waste, it is very likely Kohler produces a tub waste of comparable size.

  • As this comes with a diverter spout, which tub drain/tub face plate kit/ bath waste trim is compatable with this product?

    A. The Kohler K-T395-4S is from the Devonshire collection, which does not have a strictly matching tub waste. Tub wastes are more dependent on the tub you have rather that the shower trim. Kohler does have an array of tub wastes, though. Anything from the Clearflo or the Swiftflo Collections would be appropriate provided the length and depth of your tub installation allows for it.

  • What is a slip fit tub spout vs. a screw on tub spout. How do I determine which to purchase to replace my bath fixtures?

    A. The Kohler K-T395-4S includes a slip fit tub spout which slips onto the pipe and twists to lock into place, where the screw on tub spout will screw on to the pipe. The slip fit is for easy application.

    A. The Kohler K-T395-4S has a spray face of 5-1/2" in diameter.

  • Explain the difference between this model and Kohler -T395-4? What is a slip fit spout and why is it useful? Have they corrected the spout length so it doesn't hit the overflow valve as stated in the comments?

    A. Slip fit is used if you have copper piping, it is just a different type of installation. The other model is for threaded water lines. From reading the review it sounds like the customer did not adequately check his tub dimensions before installation.

Still Wondering Recently had KROHLER shower heads installed. I like to feel the force of the water in order rinse myself especially when washing ones hair. Also wonder why the water spout into tub is about 1" too short so water hits directly on overflow plate, Was this a plumbing issue or poor advice from place of lpurchase of tubs and faucets, Totally unsatisfied and wondering what solution would be available. I am all for water conservation but if I now take a 10 min. shower instead of 5 to rinse soap off what is the point? October 24, 2010

Best purchase for bathroom remodel I ordered Kohler fixtures for a complete bathroom remodel. Everything in the Devonshire line in brushed bronze finish. The look,the performance and ease of installation is First Rate. The best part is the customer service of Faucet Direct and Kohler I ordered the KT-395-4 as the description did not specify a tub spout slip fit installation and received a screw on tub spout. I called Pete in customer service and received the proper spout n/c in 5 days.At the last step of installation ,I found Iwas short a plasic washer for mounting the tub handle. I called Kohler and received the part asap. After dealing with FD thru a kitchen and bath remodel, they are only company I will deal with for my master bath remodel coming up. March 8, 2009
