  • Rite-Temp Pressure Balancing Valve: This innovation by Kohler brings a new found comfort to the shower experience. Rapid heating and cooling of water while in the shower has been an issue that has plagued users for generations; however, Kohler has created the solution. With the Rite-Temp pressure balancing technology water temperature is consistently maintained within three degrees Fahrenheit in either direction. Regardless of what other water usage is taking place throughout the house, Rite-Temp ensures a consistent and comfortable shower experience every time.

    A. The drain assembly/ tub drain depends on the type of tub that you have. The shower trim does not effect what type of shower drain you need.

    A. The Kohler K-T395-4 is the Devonshire shower trim with the standard, screw on tub spout. The -4S has a slip on connection tub spout.

  • Which valve do I need for this unit that will direct the water flow nto the shower OR tub so that I can use a plain tub spout without the diverter on the spout?

    A. You will need to use a combination of parts to put this together if you don't want to use the diverter tub spout. You will use the K-T396-4 shower trim, with the K-T376-4 diverter and the K-373 non diverter tub spout.

  • Is the showerhead metal or plastic? I searched and this one came up as metal, but in one of the reviews, someone said they called to confirm it was metal but is plastic.

    A. The Kohler K-T395-4 shower head is a mixture of brass and plastic. The outside ring is plastic, the spray and back body is metal.

Good, but plastic shower head I called Kohler before making this purchase and was assured that the shower head was metal, not plastic like so many others. The shower head is indeed plastic. Other than that we are very pleased. June 3, 2010
Great value and looks I browsed quite a bit and this is a great looking bath/shower combo at an excellent price. It was about 40% cheaper than buying in a home improvement store. Just don't forget to get the valve. July 3, 2008

Kohler Lifetime Limited Warranty

Kohler Co. warrants its faucets to be leak and drip free during normal residential use for as long as the original purchaser owns his/her home.* If the faucet should leak or drip during normal use, Kohler will, free of charge, mail to the purchaser the cartridge necessary to put the faucet in good working condition.

Kohler also warrants all other aspects of the faucet, except gold finish, to be free of defects in material and workmanship during normal residential use for as long as the original purchaser owns his/her own home. If a defect is found in normal residential use, Kohler Co. will (at its election) repair, provide a replacement part or product, or make appropriate adjustment. Damage to a product caused by accident, misuse, or abuse is not covered by this warranty.

Proof of purchase (original sales receipt) must be provided to Kohler with all warranty claims. Kohler Co. is not responsible for labor charges, installation, or other consequential costs.

In no event shall the responsibility of Kohler exceed the purchase price of the faucet.
