well made
The Kohler shower base is very sturdy and well made. Thinset cleans off easily. Kohler claims that this base does not need to be set in a morter base. Mine did. Even after grinding off excess fiberglass off the bottom it still would not sit flat. After setting it in a mortar base--which was easy to do--it feels very solid. I would recomend setting it in a mortar base even if it does not need to be. It is a pretty simple process and well worth the time.
