I am switching to a chrome drain cover from a brass cover. The one I have has a ring-rim, as shown above, with a diameter of 4-7/8" . The perforated drain cover has a diameter of 3-1/8 inches. They are installed in a Kohler fiberglass shower. Is this drain assembly shown above the right size to replace the one I have? It would be helpful to list it's dimensions.

Are these drains made by Kohler or made some by some other company and sold thru Kohler? I read that it wasn't made by Kohler.

Nice drain!
When I ordered this drain, we received it in a very timely manner. It was well-packaged. It looks great with our Kohler Shower Base w/seat. I ordered it in oil rubbed bronze, to go with our black shower base. Over all, just a nicely made drain!

Well made product
This is a quality product with good workmanship.
I would have given it a five if it weren't for the compression attachment which can be a pain.
Note: Use a short peice of pipe with a sleeve to drive the rubber compression ring into place, plus a bit of soapy water for lubrication. Make sure the end of the drain pipe is smooth - sand off the edge.

Nice Drain
I used this drain in a Kohler cast iron shower pan and it worked perfect. The finish matched the Kohler Forte trim kit exactly.

Not a permant fixture
This drain uses a compression fitting. It's not a permant (glued or threaded) solution.

Nice Finish
A nice way to finish your new Kohler shower or tub ensemble. Not quite as substantial as i thought it would be, but much better than what a contractor would put in, and as always, a beautiful polished finish.

Kohler Lifetime Limited Warranty
Kohler Co. warrants its faucets to be leak and drip free during normal residential use for as long as the original purchaser owns his/her home.* If the faucet should leak or drip during normal use, Kohler will, free of charge, mail to the purchaser the cartridge necessary to put the faucet in good working condition.
Kohler also warrants all other aspects of the faucet, except gold finish, to be free of defects in material and workmanship during normal residential use for as long as the original purchaser owns his/her own home. If a defect is found in normal residential use, Kohler Co. will (at its election) repair, provide a replacement part or product, or make appropriate adjustment. Damage to a product caused by accident, misuse, or abuse is not covered by this warranty.
Proof of purchase (original sales receipt) must be provided to Kohler with all warranty claims. Kohler Co. is not responsible for labor charges, installation, or other consequential costs.
In no event shall the responsibility of Kohler exceed the purchase price of the faucet.
