    A. 58" is an uncommon size, they usually are 5 foot, or 5.5 foot.

  • Why is the k-876 so much lighter than the villager and the mendota. Is it less quality or is the porcelin not as thick?

    A. The Kohler Bellwether, Villager and Mendota are all made from the material cast iron. The design and style of each requires more or less cast iron for the molding. The weights of each tub reflect the detailing of the design, ie, more molding; Mendota 460lbs, Villager 316lbs and Bellwether 298lbs.   • What pattern is on the anti-slip bottom?

    A. The Kohler K-876 is not really patterned, but more of an overall coating across the bottom. It will be slightly textured like fine sandpaper.

Simply Stunning! This comtepary tub looks awesome in our newly remodled bathroom. It's super heavy! About 6 from our construction crew to carry it. You really need to know that you do need those suggested tub drain. Due to the curve under the overflow. Another thing, you will need an extra long tub spout. The first I ordered only hit at the overflow. I choose the spout to match the handles of all the tub accessaries. Be ware- finding the extra long spouts are avaible at Faucet Direct. Very costly! Didn't find this out until tub was installed. July 2, 2011
Kohler Bellwether Tub has flaws The Tub in my opinion was a reject that somehow got past quality control. The front Apron side is about 1/4" lower than the back side, therefore making it virtually impossible to get a level reading. If I run a square along the drain (short) side along the rim it bows from the middle to the front. Therefore I have to cut my first row of tiles. Not what I wanted to do. Furthermore, if you rest the tub on the (level) floor, the 2 feet closest to the front side of the tub don't even touch the floor. There's about a 1/4" gap. Kohler states that this is all within ASNI acceptable range. I think it's an inferior product, and if I didn't pay $150 to have this 300lb tub hauled upstairs, I would drag it to the curb! Faster delivery than we could ever hope for! We were in a time crunch to get the tub for our new bathroom and a little nervous with the 5-7 day delivery. The tub arrived the day after we placed our order! We couldn't be happier. The tub is beautiful too... August 20, 2010
tub spout issue with this bathtub Not mentioned in the specs available on line here is a NOTE that says this tub requires an extra long tub spout. The design of the front (and back) tub wall SLOPES from the deck, then drops in a straight line to the well. If your tub spout is not LONG enough to clear this slope, the water will hit the slope and the overflow drain rather than flowing straight into the tub. March 25, 2010

Kohler Lifetime Limited Warranty

Kohler Co. warrants its faucets to be leak and drip free during normal residential use for as long as the original purchaser owns his/her home.* If the faucet should leak or drip during normal use, Kohler will, free of charge, mail to the purchaser the cartridge necessary to put the faucet in good working condition.

Kohler also warrants all other aspects of the faucet, except gold finish, to be free of defects in material and workmanship during normal residential use for as long as the original purchaser owns his/her own home. If a defect is found in normal residential use, Kohler Co. will (at its election) repair, provide a replacement part or product, or make appropriate adjustment. Damage to a product caused by accident, misuse, or abuse is not covered by this warranty.

Proof of purchase (original sales receipt) must be provided to Kohler with all warranty claims. Kohler Co. is not responsible for labor charges, installation, or other consequential costs.
