The basic slide bar supports an adjustable handshower in a KOHLER(R) performance showering system. It features durable construction and is available in a variety of KOHLER finishes. Adjustable height handshower slides up or down the bar. Three distinctive trim kits will allow you to customize your slide bar to coordinate with existing KOHLER faucets and accessories.

I would like to purchase a Soap Dish for mounting on this Slide Bar, Is there a recommended option?
A. Unfortunately Kohler does not appear to have a Soap Dish designed for mounting onto this slide bar. There are a few options availabel by other manufacturers. Some of the possibilities appear to be the (28 631) or the (28 856) by Grohe.

Bravo -- all metal (yeah)
At a time when fixture companies think plastic is somehow better, here is a slide bar that is all metal! So hard to find and of really good quality. It is simple enough to match about any other fixtures in the bathroom and you can get inexpensive trim kits to match other kohler produces. I've seen plenty of complains about the clips giving out on other brand,s but after a month or more of use, the clip seems to stay in place and seems like it will have good longevity. Having returned an almost all plastic, very expensive Grohe slide bar, we are very pleased with this purchase.

The screw to attach the shower hook to the rail is made of a plastic and tend to break off. It needs to be made of a stronger metal. Not recommended.

Spendy, but worth it.
As a profesional plumber for 35 years, experience has taught me that a premium price does not always mean a premium product. In this case it does. This shower bar will probably out last the shower it's installed in.

Missing Escutcheons
The Escutcheons were missing from the box and as a result I had to have them installed without them. The bar still looks great but I would have liked the escutcheons - however they are not critical and NO ONE NOTICED!

Kohler Lifetime Limited Warranty
Kohler Co. warrants its faucets to be leak and drip free during normal residential use for as long as the original purchaser owns his/her home.* If the faucet should leak or drip during normal use, Kohler will, free of charge, mail to the purchaser the cartridge necessary to put the faucet in good working condition.
Kohler also warrants all other aspects of the faucet, except gold finish, to be free of defects in material and workmanship during normal residential use for as long as the original purchaser owns his/her own home. If a defect is found in normal residential use, Kohler Co. will (at its election) repair, provide a replacement part or product, or make appropriate adjustment. Damage to a product caused by accident, misuse, or abuse is not covered by this warranty.
Proof of purchase (original sales receipt) must be provided to Kohler with all warranty claims. Kohler Co. is not responsible for labor charges, installation, or other consequential costs.
In no event shall the responsibility of Kohler exceed the purchase price of the faucet.
