I am looking for an oil rubbed bronze drain assembly for the Kohler demilav cast iron sink. Would this K-7108 be appropriate? Kohler doesn't seem to make very many drain assemblies in the oil rubbed bronze finish.
A. The K-7108 would be a good pairing with the DemiLav K-2833 by Kohler. Oil Rubbed Bronze is a relatively new finish to Kohler and hasn't fully migrated to all of their products. If you would like the ability to seal the drain you might consider Moen's clicker drain model 140780.

K-7108 Slooooooow to Drain
I bought this drain assembly to go with the Kohler DemiLav vessel, and it looks great installed.
The BIG problem is that it does not drain very well. Water can't flow through the slits, it's as if they're too tiny. You can see a trapped bubble of air under the drain grill that prevents any more water going down.
Other reviews show the same problem with K-7107.
The water does eventually drain away (5 minutes).
I chose this drain because of it's classy decorative design grill, and now I'm regreting it as I have to replace it with something else that hopefully will drain better.

Kohler Lifetime Limited Warranty
Kohler Co. warrants its faucets to be leak and drip free during normal residential use for as long as the original purchaser owns his/her home.* If the faucet should leak or drip during normal use, Kohler will, free of charge, mail to the purchaser the cartridge necessary to put the faucet in good working condition.
Kohler also warrants all other aspects of the faucet, except gold finish, to be free of defects in material and workmanship during normal residential use for as long as the original purchaser owns his/her own home. If a defect is found in normal residential use, Kohler Co. will (at its election) repair, provide a replacement part or product, or make appropriate adjustment. Damage to a product caused by accident, misuse, or abuse is not covered by this warranty.
Proof of purchase (original sales receipt) must be provided to Kohler with all warranty claims. Kohler Co. is not responsible for labor charges, installation, or other consequential costs.
In no event shall the responsibility of Kohler exceed the purchase price of the faucet.
