    A. Thank you for your question. The K-704516 is available with both is available with either clear glass or intrex glass. The model number for clear glass is K-704516-L and the intrex glass is K-704516-B1. The model number of the compatable base is K-9455 and the shower walls is K-1018.

    A. The Kohler K-704516-L has glass that is 5/32" thick. These shower doors will only work with the K-9455 which is a 41 1/8".

  • I had ceramic wall tile installed above the base, and the shower door frame is 1' +/1 short of reaching the finished wall. Is there a spacer kit in a matching (bright)finish that is adjustable to fill the space?

    A. I am sorry but there is not a finished spacer available to fill in the extra gap you have.

Kohler Neo-Angle The tempered glass is thicker than the inexpensive enclosures and very clear. (I have not tested the coating on the inside yet) You can feel the difference in the weight of the parts. The door feels substanical, yet swings easily (once installed). We went and looked at some of the less expensive ones at our local home improvement center, and they are just not as nice. In this case, you get what you pay for. I put up some nice tile, and I wanted a clear enclosure to show it off. The metal parts of the enclosure are very well finished. All of the smaller parts are well marked and come on a shrink wrapped piece of cardboard. The adjustment blocks are a very nice feature for walls that are not perfectly plumb. They compensate for normal build variation without a lot of effort. The installation instructions could be a little better. There are some things that you will need to do that are not in the directions: The Wall Jamb Adjustment Blocks should be screwed all the way in when you start, and then adjusted out as needed. The seals on the top and bottom of the bridge member will need to be trimmed to length. The seals come a little long (which is good) its just that they need to be trimmed and it is not noted in the instructions. The screws that are used to join the bridge members to the flanges that make up the door framework are VERY tight. They are self tapping. I broke one of them off and rounded the head out on another. Fortunately, I had some screws around the house that were suitable. Use a dab of grease on each one, and they will go in easier. Also, you will need a power screwdriver to install them. I do not think that they can be installed manually (the are that tight). This is probably not something for the total amatuer, but if you have had some experience in doing these types of projects you should be OK. Kohler Lifetime Limited Warranty

Kohler Co. warrants its faucets to be leak and drip free during normal residential use for as long as the original purchaser owns his/her home.* If the faucet should leak or drip during normal use, Kohler will, free of charge, mail to the purchaser the cartridge necessary to put the faucet in good working condition.

Kohler also warrants all other aspects of the faucet, except gold finish, to be free of defects in material and workmanship during normal residential use for as long as the original purchaser owns his/her own home. If a defect is found in normal residential use, Kohler Co. will (at its election) repair, provide a replacement part or product, or make appropriate adjustment. Damage to a product caused by accident, misuse, or abuse is not covered by this warranty.

Proof of purchase (original sales receipt) must be provided to Kohler with all warranty claims. Kohler Co. is not responsible for labor charges, installation, or other consequential costs.

In no event shall the responsibility of Kohler exceed the purchase price of the faucet.
