A. As with a majority of Pull-Out Spray kitchen faucets, The pull out spray for the Kohler K-596 is made of plastic. There is a safety reason as to why this is so. By not using metal, The heat from your hot water is not translated to your hand. This will also minimize the chance of damage to your sink if dropped. - John Thomas

Beautiful and functional
This faucet looks fantastic with my black pearl granite counters and tumbled marble back splash. The water pressure with this faucet is so much better than my old Moen faucet. The head retracts and stays put, and the spray is strong.

Great faucet, bigger than expected
We love this faucet. We have modern tastes, but our house is kinda hacienda-ish. This was the perfect middle ground. No drips at all, and the pull out "wand" has a cool swivel detail on the end that makes it easy to bend into tight places w/o kinking the hose. One downside, if you can call it that, is that it is much bigger than we expected. We have a big sink, but when we turn on the faucet it seems to overspray most of the time.

Excellent faucet
It installed very quickly. Looks great. Two thing I really like: there are no rough ledges on the neck to catch dirt and it can be turned on and off so easily, just a touch from the back of my hand does it when my fingers are messy. We installed it with the handle facing forward.

So Happy With My Choice
I purchased two of these for our home. They arrived quickly and in great condition. A plumber came out and installed them. All went well without any problems. My plumber thought they would have cost twice what I paid for them. The faucets themselves are wonderful. They are stylish and very functional. I'm very happy with my choice. Faucetdirect is a great website.
