what is the depth of the handle

what is the metal used? is it appropriate for wet conditions? i.e. in the shower?

I want to match this polished chrome knob with a drawer pull that is polished nickel. I am thinking the nickel and chrome will match close enough. Any thoughts?
A. The Kohler K-522 - Nickel and Chrome are different. Chrome being much lighting and Nickel being a bit darker and more like stainless steel. I've seen Nickel/stainless used together with Chrome in various applications. They are different but not too different.
