does this toilet need a tank?

Do I need a 1" supply line to correctly operating a flushometer? I have heard that the typical 1/2" residential supply line is insufficient for a flushometer. Do you have a recommendation for a low flow wall mounted toilet for residential use? I have to replace my old 6 gallon wall mounted units with low flow, and want to stick with wall mounts to avoid massive work to rough in floor mounted units.
