High flow 3/4 inch Rite-Temp® pressure balancing valve with stops
*Important* We recommend the K-304-K or K-304-KS for standard Residential 1/2" Connection Installation.
The new K-2971-KS supersedes the K-306-KS valve and features a redesigned pressure balance module to provide superior resistance to mineral deposits and aggressive water conditions combined with simplified installation and maintenance. The new valve utilizes existing K-306-KS valve trim and is dimensionally identical for simplified conversion to the new design.
- High 13.0gpm flow rate - ideal for multiple outlet installations or rapid bath filling
- Utilizes existing K-306-KS valve trim - completely interchangeable
- Provides anti-scald protection and temperature regulation at flow rates as low as 1.75 gpm; far below federally mandated standards of 2.5 gpm
- Superior resistance to aggressive or treated water conditions or mineral build-up
- Forged brass one piece valve body for long term reliability
- Back-to-back installation is ideal for unique or high-volume jobs
- Replacement Cartridge #79703
- For 3/4" NPT connections

11 Questions from the Community
-
Is the casting width from the hot to the cold connection 3 inches?
-
Does this valve replace the K-304?
-
is this necessary for a replacment of an existing showerhead, tub faucet or only a new install
A. The Kohler K-2971-KS is a valve that is determined by the trim piece you are using. As far as replacing the tub spout or showerhead the valve does not matter. But if you are looking to replace your trim piece and wanting to use the exhisting valve then you will want to make sure the valve is compatible with the trim piece you are replacing. Hope this answered your question but if not let me know. I would be happy to help.
-
Is this for shower only, or shower/bath combo?
A. Thank you for your question. The Kohler K-2971-KS is intended to be installed behind a shower control trim, which can be used with a shower or shower/bath combo, all it does is control water temperature and flow, what sort of spout it goes through is up to you. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
-
Does this have the diverter built the valve?
A. The Kohler K-2971-KS is intended for use with a shower or shower/bath combo. It does not have a diverter if you are trying to divert the water to a handshower or bodysprays. You are going to need an actual diverter valve such as the K-728-K.
-
Can i reverse the cartridge for this valve? The hot and cold are reversed.
A. Yes, you can reverse the cartridge forhe Kohler K-2971-KS by flipping the mixing cap 180 degrees. If you have any other questions please call 800-375-3403 x725 for Jordan. Thank you.
