  • I would like to install the flipside on a 30" slide bar--what slide bar do you recommend for the flip side #17492?

    A. For Kohler K-17492 you could use K-8524. It is a 30" slide bar from Kohler that comes in 8 different finishes. Just be aware that you may want to buy a trim kit also, such as K-421, K349, or K-974.

    A. The Kohler K-17492 is the hand shower only, you'll need the hose and wall supply elbow.

    A. You'd need a hose, a wall supply elbow, a handshower holder, and a trim/valve to turn the water on. Additionally, you might also need a diverter depending on the set up.

  • Can I install the Flipside on my current 1/2 inch-14 thread per inch female hose?

    A. The Kohler K-17492 has a standard 1/2" connection. This can be installed on your current set up.

    A. The Kohler K-17492 will work with Delta if it has a standard 1/2" connection.

  • Can I mount this on a deck with the K-368 holder?

    A. The part of the Kohler K-17492 that rests in the K-368 is the base. With that said, I'm not entirely certain the K-17492 is too heavy to stay mounted. It will fit, but may tilt forward depending on the angle it's installed.

  • Is it made of solid metal or just metal coated plastic?

    A. The Kohler K-17492 is made of a metal coated plastic. There are reasons that this is done. An All Metal Handshower would translate the heat from your hot water to your hand faster, also the lighter weight minimizes the risk of damage to your shower if dropped.

  • What is the difference between 01, 02, and 03

    A. The 01, 02 and 03 Flipside handshowers are functionally the same, but are stylistically different.

  • Is there a shower arm mount that is compatible with this hand shower? I currently have a bathtub shower setup and would need the hand shower to hang from the shower arm.

    A. The Kohler K-17492 is compatible with all of the hand shower mounts. The part that rests in the cradle is the part of the hose that connects to the bottom. Just make sure the arc isn't too far forward or else it will fall out.

    A. I would suggest the Kohler K-8524 to go with the Kohler K-17492.

Beautiful, but ... Was very happy at first with this purchase. It looks great and initially the flip option was fun. After a few uses, however, function became the focus. The showerhead just does not deliver enough pressure on any setting. I wound up putting back my old handheld in my completely renovated bathroom. June 4, 2011

attractive and good quality lightweight yet great quality, easy to change water setting. Disappointed that they did not also have the attachment onto the shower pipe directly from the wall, but I used a "universal" adapter from Lowes that works fine. April 19, 2011

Great Shower Head This Kohler Flip showerhead is great. Provides a strong shower from all 4 sides. Goes great in our recently remodeled shower and matches well with the other brushed nickel items even though all are not Kohler. Very sturdy feel as well. Would be nice if Kohler would bundle this with the mounting and hose equipment as I had to order those items separately. Arrived quickly and in excellent shape from Faucet Direct. August 24, 2010
Well thought out showerhead First and foremost, best prices I found were right here at Faucets - great job! Love the flip showerhead, so far it's been flawless and the transitions work well. Wonderful Product This product is everything Kohler said it would be. hadsome functional shower head After trying to go the big box store route finding nice looking hardware until you open it and find its all plastic... I finally broke down and went to a bath/kitchen store and found this marvelous rugged set. Then the rest was going on line to find you and I was very pleased with the whole process. Still need a shower door installed to be able to enjoy this shower but January 22, 2010

Kohler Lifetime Limited Warranty

Kohler Co. warrants its faucets to be leak and drip free during normal residential use for as long as the original purchaser owns his/her home.* If the faucet should leak or drip during normal use, Kohler will, free of charge, mail to the purchaser the cartridge necessary to put the faucet in good working condition.

Kohler also warrants all other aspects of the faucet, except gold finish, to be free of defects in material and workmanship during normal residential use for as long as the original purchaser owns his/her own home. If a defect is found in normal residential use, Kohler Co. will (at its election) repair, provide a replacement part or product, or make appropriate adjustment. Damage to a product caused by accident, misuse, or abuse is not covered by this warranty.

Proof of purchase (original sales receipt) must be provided to Kohler with all warranty claims. Kohler Co. is not responsible for labor charges, installation, or other consequential costs.

In no event shall the responsibility of Kohler exceed the purchase price of the faucet.
