  • Does this come with shower head and hot/cold water handle? What about a shower door?

    A. The shower head and door are sold separately, but the Kohler K-1688 is pre-drilled for easy installation. This module is compatible with a number of doors (found in the specification sheet) including the Senza steam bypass shower door, forum bypass shower door.

  • What is the material the module showers are made of? What cleaning agent works best on this type of shower.

    A. Kohler shower modules are acryllic. Standard household cleaners would be fine and I use Tilex to clean my module.

  • Do you offer this model with a standard tub??

    A. Thank you for your question. The Sonata collection only offers jetted or whirlpool tubs, such as the K-1684 Sonata 5 Foot Drop In Jetted Tub.

  • Can I get this is a 48" with a left hand drain?

    A. The Kohler K-1688 is only sold with center drain.

  • Does this come with the holes for shower head, etc. on the opposite side as shown?

    A. The Kohler K-1688 is not pre drilled. The holes for the shower faucet will not be cut out.

    A. The Kohler K-1688 is a one piece module. You can not break it down into three pieces.

    A. The Kohler K-1688 does not include the grab bar and shelf.

  • Can this module only be installed with certain ceiling heights? We have 9' ceilings, will this work?

    A. The Kohler K-1688 will fit into a room with 9' ceilings, you always want to be mindful of all dimensions, but that height will not be a problem for this module. The total height comes to 7.5'.

  • The shelf kit....is there a seat/bench kit to go with this unit?

    A. The compatible shower seat is model K-9499. It is available in multiple finishes.

    A. The maximum load capacity is 300 lbs. The seat measures 23 1/2"l x 9 13/16"w x 4"h.

    A. This unit is only available with a depth of 36".

  • How much of a lip is there where you enter the shower? I am concerned that water will get on the floor.

    A. The Kohler K-1688 has a 5 3/16" lip from the ground, and approximately 3" from the base of the shower.
