Inspires confidence
This grab bar is attractive and very solid. It was easy to install, since I had solid wood behind the locations where I installed four. Properly installed, a very very large person can rely on this grab bar. It is far more solid than others I inspected.

kohler grab bar
good quality, finish matches my other brushed nickel items in the bathroom, the 12 inch is a little less conspicuous, couldn't initially decide between 12 and 18 inch, but 12 is enough to reach for when getting out of the shower.

Easy to Install
I had to install this into ceramic tile, so I also bought a high-end stud-finder, one that shows the center of the stud, and two ceramic drill bits. Found the studs right away and drilled through the grout seams for two of the three screws. (The installation plate has six options.) The caps slipped over the plates perfectly. Result: a very strong and handsome addition to the bathroom. There are installation instructions on the web, by the way. Take your time. Get the right tools.
