    A. The Kohler K-1150-RA is a three wall alcove tub, which is surrounded on three sides. The back of the tub is the one against the back wall. It is important when determining drain placement. This particular tub has a right hand drain so if you need your drain on the right side when facing the tub, this would be the one you need. The -LA would be the appropriate tub if you needed a left handed drain.

    A. Lumber support refers to the back support provided on the sloped side of the tub opposite the drain on The Kohler K-1150-RA. The drain side is not sloped.

Good quality but doesnt exactly look like its pic This biggest problem with this tub is it doesn’t look like the pictures Kohler provides and they ADMITTED AS MUCH TO ME. See the pic of the Kohler tub that I took. It has a very pronounced curvature in the apron. It doesn’t look bad but it doesn’t look like you’d expect from the marketing materials. In addition it ended up being too tall (step over) for a bathtub that will be used 99.9% of the time as a shower. The quality is good for an acrylic tub....doesn’t feel as cheap and flimsy as most acrylic tubs but nothing approximating cast iron. Additionally, the anti-skid finish on the bottom of the Kohler looks a little cheap in my opinion. "Americast" by American Standard is the best compromise between the feel and finish-quality of cast-iron without the weight and difficulty of installing a 300-400 pound cast iron tub. Kohler makes a nice product but this tub was just too tall and American Standard had lower step over in the same length and width which was a priority for me. September 2, 2011

Kohler Lifetime Limited Warranty

Kohler Co. warrants its faucets to be leak and drip free during normal residential use for as long as the original purchaser owns his/her home.* If the faucet should leak or drip during normal use, Kohler will, free of charge, mail to the purchaser the cartridge necessary to put the faucet in good working condition.

Kohler also warrants all other aspects of the faucet, except gold finish, to be free of defects in material and workmanship during normal residential use for as long as the original purchaser owns his/her own home. If a defect is found in normal residential use, Kohler Co. will (at its election) repair, provide a replacement part or product, or make appropriate adjustment. Damage to a product caused by accident, misuse, or abuse is not covered by this warranty.

Proof of purchase (original sales receipt) must be provided to Kohler with all warranty claims. Kohler Co. is not responsible for labor charges, installation, or other consequential costs.

In no event shall the responsibility of Kohler exceed the purchase price of the faucet.
