What is the finish on the drain of this tub?

Is the front apron removable? Do you have to have it? I'd like to put tile on the front instead of that apron.
A. The Kohler K-1108-LA is designed with the apron, it is not recommended to be removed. It is a typical three wall alcove tub and will need the apron. If you want to install it in such a fashion, we encourage searching for a drop in type tub rather than a three wall alcove.
