What finish is on the metal single lever handle?

the vessel sits higher on the counter top. this faucet is too short how can I raise it

If I have a 17 inch vessel sink, it seems that this would only extend 2.5 inches into that bowl. Would that work? We would build a platform for it made of countertop and get it as close to the sink as possible.
A. The biggest problem isn't that it won't project into the sink, but that this faucet isn't a vessel filler. It isn't tall enough to clear a vessel. If you built the platform, it would be ok projecting out at 3.31" into the sink. If your sink is 17" in diameter it should be ok.

Our dream faucet
If you've ever seen the commercial where the woman takes a faucet into her architect and says; "build a house around this" this is what this faucet is to us. The price was well below what we could have bought it for anywhere else, the sales person was extremely helpful, the faucet was delivered quickly, and although we aren't building until this spring, I know it will look beautiful in our house. It looks exactly like the picture and we plan on buying a lot more things through faucetdirect.com

Love It
I actually have purchased 4 of these faucets over the years for different houses.. I have 2 in my home right now & they are over 7 years old. I have had these mounted on regular sinks & on pedestal sinks too. They are excellent quality. They still look new.They don't leak & I haven't seen them in any other houses other than mine. I am going to use them in my next house too. I guess with all that being said I HIGHLY RECOMMEND these to anyone.

Kohler Lifetime Limited Warranty
Kohler Co. warrants its faucets to be leak and drip free during normal residential use for as long as the original purchaser owns his/her home.* If the faucet should leak or drip during normal use, Kohler will, free of charge, mail to the purchaser the cartridge necessary to put the faucet in good working condition.
Kohler also warrants all other aspects of the faucet, except gold finish, to be free of defects in material and workmanship during normal residential use for as long as the original purchaser owns his/her own home. If a defect is found in normal residential use, Kohler Co. will (at its election) repair, provide a replacement part or product, or make appropriate adjustment. Damage to a product caused by accident, misuse, or abuse is not covered by this warranty.
Proof of purchase (original sales receipt) must be provided to Kohler with all warranty claims. Kohler Co. is not responsible for labor charges, installation, or other consequential costs.
In no event shall the responsibility of Kohler exceed the purchase price of the faucet.
